Lilia is having a better understanding of herself as a little person. It is so fun to watch her grow and change everyday! Sometimes she just amazes me with her new little words or comments or sayings! This is her in the mirror talking to herself!

For those of you that have been asleep at the wheel, we moved!
Yes!!! this is true the Krulish family lives in the Proctor district of Tacoma now and we love it so much!
We could not have done our move with out our coordinator and recruiter Jaime Preston!!
She was incredible... she did everything and thought of it all! She blessed us so much by her love and care for us.
The day we moved Lilia went to a friends house to play and just relax.. so Wren was on her own with a bunch of college kids coming in and out.
Wren got lots of attention from Rodri Bond who scooted her around the new house in the laundry basket that she loved!

I have felt like a queen in my new house, it is amazing!
The college students surprised us with a beautiful 9 foot Christmas tree for our new house! It is huge!! I love it and had a blast decorating it with them. They had a Christmas get together and ended up at our house caroling! This is a picture from that evening while they came in and got warm from the snow and drank hot cocoa.

I went to a WIC Christmas brunch at church ,with Wren, and when we got home I had a photo shoot with her and this one was my favorite shots. It looks like she she was ringing a bell for the salvation army!

We decided to decorate the tree the other night. Lilia cracked us up, she saw daddy's belt and said she wanted to wear it while she did things around the tree. She wore it for at least an hour until she decided she wanted it off, we thought it was so cute! She looked like a "black belt." I wonder if she was thinking of Santa? And his big belly and belt? Who knows with kids.

My first Thanksgiving all grown up!

I invited my whole family from California up for a few days at our house.

We had 8 adults and 2 kids packed in to my house. I made up 3 queen beds in one room and we had Wren in our smallest bedroom and Lilia in with momma and poppa. It was crazy but a good time. My grandfather was definitely missed as he passed away last month and could not be with us on this special day. We thought of him often and he was on our hearts as we even took a moment and toasted him and his life.

Everyone kept asking and talking about what they were thankful for and I felt like all day I could just cry even thinking about it. Because I was just so thankful that the tears could not be kept back while even speaking of it. But I will say it now. As most of you know we lost our firstborn daughter, Zoe Elizabeth to a genetic disorder called Turner's syndrome. For most everyone that seems like so long ago but for me I think about her so often. I think of how this year she would have been turning 3. I think of what she may have been like. What she would have grown to look like. I am thankful that she had a life in me close to me even if it was brief. I would never take back the little life she had living inside of me for 6 months. Although she did not make it she is with the Lord and I am thankful that she is in the presence of the King. A part of my own flesh resides in the presence of the Lord daily. I have no idea what this really looks like on the other side of that curtain but I can imagine. I am so thankful for her in my life to make me who I am today. Who she is changed me, and I think and hope that the change is for God's glory! When I think of being thankful I think of how God doubled our portion and gave Jerid and I not just one but 2 beautiful and amazing girls! How he took something so tragic and blessed me even more than I could imagine. How he healed my broken heart and of how every time my girls put their hand in mine I am reminded that the Lord giveth and taketh away only because He is God and because He is Good. So there you have it that is what I am thankful for this thanksgiving. I am thankful for life.

Weight of Glory

Many years ago we made the decision to disband our children's church and nursery, and go to a system of parents training their little ones to worship with us. We have cry room, and so on, but the intent is to have our children grow up into the worship of God. We have had many reasons to rejoice in that decision, and we don't regret it at all.

At the same time, the point of this exhortation is to let you parents know that we know how much work you do, and to encourage you in it. It is good work, work that will bear fruit for many years, over many generations. It is sometimes easy to lose sight of the long view, especially if you have five children under the age of seven, and all of them are squirmy. It is easy to lose sight of that when you haven't heard more than ten minutes of a sermon at a time in three years, and you wonder if you will ever be able to listen to a sermon again.

But the life of Christ is not best represented by listening to a lecture, undistracted by anything. The life of Christ is pulled in many directions, just like you are being, and you are willing for this to happen so that your children may come to worship the Lord. Laying it down for someone else this way is our glory. It is a sacrifice to bring them to the Word, to the psalms, to the wine and to the bread.

So don't measure what you get out of these worship services with carnal balances. The weight of glory you are carrying is far beyond the weight of toddlers in your lap.

This blog entry really encouraged my heart as a mom of 2 kids under 2. Every sunday after the sermon I would leave church so heavy hearted and almost having a guilty feeling. I would mostly feel bad because once again I could not get the sermon because I was helping to meet the needs of my daughters. Showing Lilia how to sing with the hymnal held upright and breastfeeding Wren while trying to connect a little bit with my husband just to encourage him and let him know I am in tune with the worship. I always had this idea in my mind that if I was a more together Christian and mom I would have perfect children and all the points of the sermon written out in my perfectly hightlighted bible. But after reading this I realize that I am bringing glory to the Lord by just bringing my children to the foot of the cross and worshipping him with all of them! I hope all my momma buddies read this and are so encouraged!

Well it has become apparent to Lilia's mother and father that she has a "certain boy" who thinks pretty highly of her and really likes being around her! As you can see from these pictures the love goes both ways! Daddy says they are getting a little to close! He may have to speak to Jordaan's father!

Today was one of my hardest days on the job as a mom. Cabin fever set in so I decided to get out today just in time for Lilia to start screaming of an ear ache.
Wren decided to cry because her sister was crying and before you know it there I was holding 2 crying babies in my arms. 2 babies under 2!
I almost started crying for my mom when they were crying. What is it about being a mom that makes you realize how amazingly incredible your mom must have been putting up with you and loving you so good! Thank you momma!

So today I am still nursing a husband with pneumonia and a sick toddler. Wren and I are ok health wise but exhausted because she hates to sleep past 7 hours.
I am delighted to see the sunshine today I think I needed it to encourage me to keep up the good hard work of motherhood today. The Lord is so good to us and merciful how he gains glory from my silly life is incredible!! I bring Him glory in the small things just be keeping my family intact!
Jerid has been a really loving sick man! He tries to cough and hack while he makes us dinner and entertains the girls with his smiles.

My friend Kjerste just gave birth to her little boy Kenji the other day and he has been in ICU as he was 8 weeks early! He is doing great and I have to include a pictute of the little guy for you at the end of this blog.

I have been so crabby lately and I am thankful that the Lord forgives me for my attitude and I am immediately made new again! What would we do without repentance and forgiveness.

Why is it that when you are alone and not too busy you either
grab a remote and click through the channels
or you grab some food out of the fridge
or you call a friend
or check email
or get in the car and buy something
or shop online for something you cannot afford
or even just cruise online for awhile looking for something to catch your eye of interest, news, sports, gossip.

Did you notice that most all of this stuff has something to do with consuming something. Why are we constantly consumed with consuming things.
Everything is about instant gratification! I want it now! I get it now! There, I feel better!!!

When will we be truly satisfied?
